I think it's time for some news... a few songs are almost done, some others are at 50% and some ideas remain like that, just ideas.
At this moment my favorite is the 5/8 tune I was talking about a couple of posts before, now it's called "4=10 (a reminder)" and the lyrics are:
"Get it in your head: you'll never get rid of feelings".
It's called 4=10 because at the beginning I count 4, but over two 5/8 bars, like this:

As you can guess, this tune is more about music than words. The song is in 5/8 and it has little "interruptions" of 2/4, 3/4 and 7/8 here and there, it runs at 180 bpm and most of it use just 2 chords.
The orchestration is very big, featuring a lot of percusion (the lamp, udu, shakers, bells, etc...), lots of guitar (slide and fingered), lots of voices (as usual), some keyboards (synth, electric piano, melodica, bass...).
I'm running out of words to sing, so I'm reaching over my old writings from years ago. I must say that I rarely write words anymore, and usualy do it when I'm in a bad mood, so most of it is kind of depressing, I have the strange idea that happy songs are stupid because reality is not a happy thing, but what has music to do with reality?
One thing is real: I do feel stupid singing happy stuff...
